YOUNGSTOWN — Tonight is debate time for the three candidates running for the 13th Congressional District seat.
The Youngstown Press Club debate, in which The Vindicator politics writer David Skolnick will serve as a panelist, will be livestreamed on the Vindicator website from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight.

Debating are U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Howland, the nine-term incumbent; Christina Hagan, a Republican from Marlboro Township and former Ohio House representative; and Michael Fricke, a Libertarian from Kent and a scientist.
The 13th District includes portions of Mahoning, Trumbull, Portage, Summit and Stark counties.
The event is co-hosted by the Youngstown Press Club and the Youngstown State University Department of Communications.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the debate at Stambaugh Auditorium will not be open to the public. This is the only scheduled debate between the candidates for this congressional district seat.
Adam Earnheardt, a YSU professor, will moderate the event.
Four panelists will ask questions of the candidates. The panelists have been announced. They are Skolnick, Derek Steyer from WFMJ, George Nelson from The Business Journal and Abigail Cloutier of The Jambar.
